Here is Traffic Engineering During Jakarnaval 2018

Jakarta Provincial Government is going to apply traffic engineering during Jakarnaval 2018 on Sunday (6/8). 

To smoothen Jakarnaval, traffic engineering will be applied gradually

"To smoothen Jakarnaval, traffic engineering will be applied gradually," expressed Andri Yansyah, Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept., Friday (7/6).

According to him, the first stage will be executed on Friday (7/6) through gladi resik by closing Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan at 8 PM-12 AM.

This Sunday, Jakarnaval Festival will Be Held

Further, traffic flow from east towards west will be diverted to Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur - Jalan Merdeka Utara and Jalan Merdeka Barat. 

The second stage is slated on Saturday (7/7) at 10 PM and Sunday (7/8) at 11 PM. It will be executed on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan.

"Traffic from east towards east or north is diverted to Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur, Medan Merdeka Barat, and Medan Merdeka Utara," he explained.

During Car Free Day at 6-11 AM, traffic from south towards west that is originally turned to Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, or turn back to Jalan Budi Kemuliaan, diverted turn right to the Indosat Fountain Roundabout.

For carnaval parade at 3-6 AM, traffic from Blok M towards Harmoni and Senen will be diverted to Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan Fachrudin - Jalan Abdul Muis. 

As for City towards Blok M, traffic will be re-routed to Juanda- Lapangan Banteng-Pejambon- Medan Merdeka Timur. 

The vehicle coming from Senen towards west, will be diverted to Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur - Perwira - Katedral - Veteran - Menteng Raya. 

Then vehicle coming from west towards Senen will be directed to Suryopranoto - Juanda through Kebon Sirih.

"We will cooperate with Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Unit. This is just situational," he said.
